Less than a week ago, President Obama announced a policy change that could affect as many as 1.4 million young undocumented students living in the United States by halting their deportation proceedings and granting them temporary work permits.

USCIS has been directed to issue policy and instructions within the next 60 days to allow those persons who: came to the U.S. before their 16th birthday, have lived continuously in the U.S. at least 5 years, have graduated or in high school, or have received a G.E.D; receive a temporary work permit.
